Pro tip: don’t install chrome

Hey, tell that to my company's device management team 🫩

If your company want to install malware on their PCs, that's their prerogative.

Yes, but I do have to use that crappy windows bullshit machine 😭

Refuse to use it unless you or someone else can install an OS that aligns with your values

Software is Windows only? Make them let you use interoperable formats compatible with more ethical Unix-based software.

Company is proprietary software/hardware dependent and cannot make space for you or ethical sources? Make them write you a good reference. Or just go

The job pays well, I make software I like, I have clients I like, and I don't have to work with Google Chrome. Yes, I don't like windows. No, I won't look for a new job just because of windows.

Besides that, I'm talking them into using Linux each day of the week. But it's a big company and it will take time.

Doubtful. I'd need to have it installed for it to do that.
