According to former head engineer for US locations of TikTok, their services are centralized in China to the extent that it probably cannot even run off the US locations alone, and the Chinese owners ByteDance had complete access to everything on the platform including user data and if you believe security experts: your photo library, text message history, contacts list, and information of nearby wireless devices that you've so much as passed by. Also, they're a military partner in China.

That's not a US Corporation in any way, shape, or form. That is espionage. The fact that they announced they won't sell shows that they were never a business operating for profit, it was always about control.

You got downvoted so much that I had to check if we were on ml or hexbear. Those CCP shills really operating in broad daylight on this post, they must have gotten board of the echo rooms filled with bots on their home instance.

TikTok was a malicious entity from its inception, they can struggle all they like but they're not going to Tom Sawyer us into thinking the US Legislator's decisions were too unfair.

TBH if they're arguing against the forced sale then they still don't have any defence against the new laws that shipped alongside it making it illegal to collect and send data to adversarial nations, so that would effectively accomplish what you're asking for.

But also, this is very clear as day a Chinese Military Operation, so fuck em and fuck their rights in particular.

Whether they win or lose their lawsuit I see it as a win for the US Citizens.

Or Data Poisoning.

TBH I'm worried about how the RFK Jr fans will shift to the GOP.

Trump and Biden are polling around 40%, RFK at around 10%, so Trump would have a definitive victory depending on where the RFK Voters flee to and how many if any crawl out of the woodwork for Biden.

Maybe we should start asking questions that iterate loops billions of times. Something semi-malicious that a person would recognize but an AI wouldn't.

Nah, the training data probably doesn't quite work that way. The AI would be very unlikely to test code, just regurgitate the most likely response based on it's training sets. Instead just filling posts with random bits and pieces of unrelated code and responses might be better.

Lmao, Tribalism is certainly a problem with our society, but ignorance of people clearly acting against your interests is no solution.

It's really easy to do actually.

This operates under the assumption that there are good decent people on every instance, but instances like Hexbear and Lemmy.ml are inherently corrupt and run by people who want to sow misinformation and chaos to negatively impact western powers. I'm not saying the whole thing is a Chinese operation, but if it were then it would be run exactly the same way it is now.

Lmfao from the first name on this list I can tell you that 7 days to die is not running kernel level anti-cheat. You've illustrated you have no idea what you're talking about.

Kernel Level anticheat requires that it runs at startup of your computer. Examples are Riot's Vanguard and nProtect's GameGuard (which Helldivers 2 uses).
