Something that I'd like to point out that a lot of people seem to miss, is that power saving is not always about saving money.

I live off-grid, so for me it's about not draining my battery bank, which is a precious and limited resource. It can make the difference between getting by on solar power or having to run a generator to recoup the losses.

Running a generator uses fuel (another limited resource), it's loud, and produces heat and exhaust. It's the last thing I ever want to do if I can avoid it. Depending on the time and location it may not even be an option.

I haven't done much gaming but Steam seems fine on my old laptop running Mint.

It would be so super duper disappointing if the docs were publically available for everyone to read. Gosh golly.

My biggest takeaway from that article is that Google has been charging website owners to train their AI for them. What a bunch of greedy cunts.

I think the last time I tried a bunch, it came down to Breezy and Cirrus. I think they're pretty similar but I settled on Cirrus for whatever reason. Here's a link for anyone interested.

You're having an argument with a voice in your head or something. I'm just going to tag you and go about my morning. Good luck with whatever it is you're dealing with.

Absolutely. Just don't do anything shady with that information. I think that's all anyone's asking.

Sure, and it would be cool if that dude didn't pass my personal information to a third party.

Nearly every weather app that exists is repackaging data from an official, tax funded source. Apps using weather underground data possibly being the only exception.

Show me one that doesn't want location permissions and such. So now they've got Your data and can do as they please with it.

Because greed.

I had to scroll down too far to find something like this.

If you're home the solution is simple. If you're not home, then they'll likely steal an inexpensive boomstick rather than your network gear.
