Bro what do you think those Steam levels and experience are for? Obviously they're gonna divest the company across the playerbase and divvy it up based on Steam levels!

Yeah I'm not really to call Valve a good guy company, but I might be willing to call them the least bad company

FF7 continues to be one of the greatest games of all time and I suspect the FF7R series will continue its path of being totally fine but mostly unremarkable

Hey now, that's unfair. It's Star Trek references, Linux memes, and disingenuous leftist in-fighting!

I just clicked on Capcom under developer on the store page for one of their game and then went to browse and filtered by games. It was a tedious process, I admit; I'm not aware of a better method but I wouldn't be surprised if one exists.

Exactly this. Because of the addition of Enigma to older titles I've personally unwishlisted any Capcom games and instead have actively clicked to ignore their entire catalog. Based on my understanding of how steam processes data, i think these actions matter, so I recommend others follow suit in similar protest.

4chan hasn't been relevant in well over a decade. They're just a self-congratulatory echo chamber so they don't realize their own irrelevancy

Kind of like subreddits, the quality of "discussions" on YouTube varies wildly based on the YouTuber. There are actually some channels with tremendous and thoughtful discourse happening in the comments, truly. But yeah, a lot of YouTube, especially any of the gaming or pop culture channels are going to be hellish in the comment space

Meh. I've seen some decent discussions here on Lemmy, just not in c/memes.

Okay, and admittedly more than half of those discussions were about Linux.

Of course I understand that, but I also understand subtext and cultural currents. Regardless of whether or not using Kanye this way counts as endorsement, it still serves to normalize his relevance and help keep him, and therefore his thoughts, words, and opinions, in the cultural zeitgeist.

So we can either accept that or choose literally any other random idiot to be our go-to meme guy instead.

So why the fuck shouldn't we?
