Vesktop supports the same mic detection and krisp noise suppression as the desktop client

Is there an actual implementation of this for Electron yet? Also, do you know any apps that use these yet? I haven't found any.

Matrix does not have the features of Discord. It's far closer to a Telegram alternative. It doesn't even have voice channels, a very basic requirement for a Discord alternative.

I see. I've never had an issue with it forgetting my spot in a show, and as far as I know my friends haven't either. Haven't had connectivity issues either.

Can you elaborate on how it's poor in that regard? That's how I and many of my friends use it, and none of us have had any issues relating to that.

Now normal people have a microblogging platform where they aren't constantly having fascist propaganda shoved down their throats.

Community-based platforms aren't receiving as much attention because while Reddit is getting worse and worse, it has not reached the level of enshittification Twitter is at. Most people are still going to keep using it. Twitter on the other hand is reaching the point where huge amount of people are leaving, making alternative microblog platforms very relevant.

They aren't being ignored. Bluesky has real moderation, they are being banned.

A lot of the big accounts I follow have been reporting a huge loss in followers on Twitter and an even larger influx of followers on Bluesky.

I understand. I wasn't disagreeing that it's an upside of Mastodon, just clarifying for anyone who doesn't know.

You only see the likes from your instance, they don't federate to others. This is a purposeful decision made my the Mastodon team, but I don't agree with their reasoning behind it.

Relevant video from PirateSoftware talking about the difference in engagement between them.

Fairly recently, I saw an app that served the same purpose as Barrier or Input-leap, allowing you use one computer to control the keyboard and cursor of multiple. I'm fairly certain it was designed with GTK 4, or maybe 3, and it had Wayland support. I've had no luck getting input-leap working well on my devices, so if anyone knows what app this was (or any other options) I would really appreciate it.

Update: Despite searching for 15 minutes before posting, I found it seconds later, thanks to DDGs reddit bang. It is lan-mouse. Will leave this up in case this software comes in handy for others.

Sharing this video because this game is seriously an underrated gem, I can't recommend it enough. Love supporting an indie dev with such a unique concept.
