HBO Max removed Westwood. One of their own and most popular shows. Gotta love it (not)

It depended…. The media used to need to support using both sides. I actually ran into some single sided media in the early early days. Or you’d get “binned” equivalents where even though they had the magnetic layer on the opposite side, quite often they’d fail after use.
You’re right about the bulky phase. That’s really where they should be putting R&D. I think google glass had a better look, but all of these trials and missteps are ultimately what pushes it forward until there is a version that people really end up embracing.
Pretty much at that point it comes down to a couple options
- The British government fines them or seizes assets in the UK
- Apple withdraws from their market and takes the revenue hit there
“Oh hey, black looks even better!”
I also think they’re too big and bulky and haven’t found the right way to use them yet. When they can be integrated with glasses and can truly “augment” the world around you, that’s when they’ll pick up. Think of a party where you can automatically display the names of people and key bio info with them. Or a sporting game where you can pull up stats on players. Or navigation where it overlays arrows on the street. For now you just get “toss our window up in your field of view with these clunky goggles”
That’s just the desktop client. They haven’t updated the mobile app and VDI versions and those were suffering problems too. It’s something on the backend.
Fuck. I didn’t even know they were working on a new DX game. Got my hopes up and smashed them in one sentence.
Okay. Let’s go local on a market. Chose San Antonio because it’s been fairly steady over the years and has a decent cost of living compared to other places…
Average Salary: approx $55,000 Average Home Price: approx $300,000
So you would still need 5.5 years for a home compared to just over 2 years. And that’s assuming the gross, not net and entire paycheck. You can still pick most places in the US that are out in rural nowhere and the inflation is plainly obvious, it’s just the degree may change a bit.
That’s always one thing I hated about Windows Server Core. It still uses the graphical subsystem but only offered you a command prompt…. Which was in a window. I would have loved to see them go true text mode only, bit it seemed parts of the graphics subsystem was embedded in the kernel so they just went with it.
I like full menus and unaltered files without layering in additional compression. Also enjoy the extras which is why I get the BDs. Space is cheap in this day so I don’t care if it takes up more space. Quality and features to me matter more.
Got Jim Travolta over on the left…
