KDE will never use auto tiling as if you've followed any of the git issues regarding this KDE devs themselves have said they personally don't use tiling so they'll never add it to Plasma. Their compromise was basically setting pre-designated areas on your desktop to drag windows to. KDE wants users to use the mouse. they prefer it.
If you like using the mouse alot and you're more comfortable with clicking than yeah there's really no point in using a tiler.
If you're someone like me who doesn't like using a mouse and are used to VIM or Emacs for navigation then tilers make sense. In many cases using a keyboard is faster than using a mouse. OR you're a weirdo in the middle then you'd use Krohnkite on KDE.
to be fair there are many games that are like Getting Over it or Balatro or even Vampire Survivors it's just many of them aren't as successful or known as those games.
honestly I would say it hasn't really gotten into it's groove/good until like a few months into this year. It's gotten A LOT better than what it was. So waiting until now to try it was a good call actually.
there is depending on what distro you're on and the packages they provide for Plasma.
Like Arch for example you can get a barebones basic version of KDE Plasma. NixOS you can tell it to ignore certain parts of Plasma from the package when you're building it. I would assume other distros have something similar. This applies to the settings too. you can literally make your plasma include zero kwin stuff if you wanted.
well last time it went until the early 40s so...you probably got like another 15 years or so. they'll replace the main character though because he's aging out of the part.
I've seen this episode before
also helps to not eat twinkis and other snack cakes with maggots in them. which he has done.
yeah try turning off the hardware accelration on the browser...which browser btw?
if the hardware accelration doesn't work check the Lutris forums and/or discord to see if anyone has come across the issue. Have you tried running ESO via steam at all? potentially could also check it via protondb.com if you try to run it via steam.
Generally though there should be scripts with Lutris to install it correctly. But i'd still check with the Lutris forum/discord (they're really nice and helpful dudes) if the browser thing doesn't work.
yeah probably hardware accelration on the browser. could also be the DE/WM you're using on it.
What desktop environment and/or window manager is she using on the laptop?
