MODERATORS

Users of Meta's AI smart glasses in Europe may be unknowingly sharing intimate video and sensitive financial information with moderators outside of the bloc, according to a report from Sweden's Svenska Dagbladet released last week. Employees in Kenya doing AI "annotation" told the journalists that they've seen people nude, using the toilet and engaging in sexual activity, along with credit card numbers and other sensitive information.

lol what kind of weird nerd is wearing smart glasses while having sex lmao

imagine you're over at some dudes house, about to get dicked down, and he comes out with nothing but these big fat blinking glasses on

I assume it's people making (hopefully consensual) POV videos.

[–] skrlet13@feddit.cl 5 points 9 hours ago

Yea, it sounds more confortable than wearing just a camera tied to yourself. POV porn is popular afaik

I know why they’re doing it. I just think it’s something only a doofus would do.

[–] zewm@lemmy.world 10 points 13 hours ago

Or someone making OF content for example.

Really? I think it's way more natural than wearing a go pro.

Bedroom is a very reasonable realm for smart glasses if they aren't connected to the internet and are used for local recording.

The really weird part is wearing them in public and either recording people without their consent or even giving the clear impression of recording people without their consent. Wearing smart glasses in a public place is just an asshole move.

Believe it or not but not all sex starts with walking into the bahtroom, closing the door, disrobing, and hopping under the covers.

And while it likely applies less to the folk with camera glasses: If your vision is poor enough, it is always a tradeoff between them getting in the way and constantly squinting at your partner.

Why do you have blankets in your bathroom

[–] Canconda@lemmy.ca 10 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

No it's the "Baht Room". Like you've been Baht. You need to be punished. *wtsh *wtsh

[–] NuXCOM_90Percent@lemmy.zip 6 points 11 hours ago

Exactly. This obviously wasn't a brain fart + typo.

The kink shaming of some people.

omg can I just make fun of techbros wearing Facebook smart glasses without everyone doing an 18-point analysis on it?

I hate making out wearing glasses. That said, it is a porn category 🤷‍♂️

Glasses are like lingerie: They’re not for during, but before
