Probably related to WB wanting to sell their gaming division.
They forced the developers to make this shit. Everything and everyone leading up to the release told them it was DOA. This is 100% on poor leadership making bad decisions and not reversing course at any of the warning signs.. Yet the leaders will stay and the developers will suffer.
Gotta chase that sweet, sweet live service money though.
Lol what live service money?
If WB really wanted to tank their game division, they would do what they did with movies and start cancelling almost finished projects for a tax write off
I blame them selling their souls to that trash sweet baby inc or whatever
Since we're making unfounded, trash statements.
You're dumb.
Fuck outta here with that astroturfing, neckbeard, neet shit.
How is that a trash statement? They helped with some of the writing and dialogue which was shit. Idc about the other stuff but if you’re going to go to a consulting agency then go with one that’s good and knows what they are doing. Yeah WB wrote some stuff too which makes them just as guilty.
It’s like hiring John Cena to act in movies he is trash and boring, why not hire someone good who knows what they’re doing
It's a trash statement because you can't say which parts they wrote and which they didn't without them telling you. Anyone who highlights that company as a problem is following some bad YouTube detectives who are generally upset that not every video game character is a white dude.
The writing in Suicide Squad is also frequently highlighted as one of its most redeeming qualities, and SBI has worked on tons of games acclaimed for their stories, so it makes plenty of sense that they'd keep getting hired.
WB also didn't "sell their souls" to SBI. WB bought. SBI sold their labor. Because that's how contracting works.
I mean idk what YT video there is and idgaf if it’s a white dude or black feminist doesn’t mean the game will be good. Yes SBI games worked on a few good games, but doesn’t mean they can’t be bad with their labor either.
Some games are good some well they shouldn’t even touch. And you’re assuming I’m saying they are the only problem. It goes both ways.
And it’s well know they contributed to dialogue and writing along with WB. And the story and writing was mid unless you got that info from Reddit that its redeeming quality.
And I’ve said the same shit about how Gearbox sold their soul to another studio to make the trash known as Aliens Colonial Marines and no one made a big deal. But I blame a consulting firm and everyone gets hostile.
TLDR: you can agree with the stance of something but still hate how they contribute to something being bad.
Well then let me inform you: there are dozens of rage bait YouTubers who mention Sweet Baby and "DEI" in the same video in raised voices, and you'll find those same sentiments shared in any Steam forum, so that is what it's about. And given that they don't itemize their contributions, it's bizarre and damn near impossible that you decided to take some stance against SBI without having run in those circles. So yes, it's a trash statement.
I actually don't understand the hate Sweet Baby gets. The most I've been able to understand about it is that they use inclusive language or something.
Is that honestly it? Because that seems like a lot of wasted effort spent hating something pretty dang benign...
