The party of law and order: "Nooooo, not like that!"

The snowflakes are all up in their feelings today

So, when will we see the orange man in an orange suit?... 🤔

They are all talking about shooting people and marching armed on DC

Those sweet, sweet MAGA tears make such wonderful lube. My loins will never recover from this, and my nuts are going to look (more) like raisins

I'm sure the FBI and Secret Service are doing some overtime today too.

Hell yeah on Trump getting what he deserves. But I don't think gloating posts like these are good in the long run. They tend to just polarize things more in my experience. We need less us vs them.

[–] ramble81@lemm.ee 23 points 5 months ago (1 children)

We tried that. It didn’t work. They just said “fuck your feelings”, they said “cry your liberal tears”. Everyone most people tried to take the high road, show that “we’re better than that”. But it didn’t do a lick of good. So I’m gonna enjoy this win and gloat about it.

[–] lolrightythen@lemmy.world 8 points 5 months ago

Absolutely. The divide isn't going to be solved any time soon.

I respect those who choose the high road, but acting in good faith and expecting reciprocation is what they love to dunk on.

No, I think I’ll go on gloating to these unhinged sycophants that their godking is now a convicted felon and their whining and tears are so very satisfying.

The moment they decided to attempt a literal coup is the moment they solidified any polarization. That ship has sailed. Now it’s time to see everything they worship fall apart.

No quarter for traitors.

Now, we should be mindful. Some of these people are misguided or misinformed, but there’s also people who are acting in bad faith. For these, you can’t convince them. They fundamentally disagree with human rights, rights in general, and democracy.

I’m A-OK with making fun of modern day Nazis.

[–] ulkesh@beehaw.org 3 points 5 months ago

I would say that by now, nearly 10 years after all this nonsense began, anyone who is still misguided or misinformed is being that way willfully.

"Noo this is just like them, we have to be better"

I'm not federated so I have to respond to this comment here.

It's 2024, where did eight years of "being better" get you? Under the boot, that's where. "Civility" in politics is such brain poison, it's a matter of life and death, not a dinner party. I will take as much satisfaction as I want from the misfortune of my enemies, because spreading misfortune is their entire life and it's good when they're impeded. Fuck the big wet ex-president, I hope a titan boa squeezes 70 years of McDonald's grease out of him like a tube of toothpaste.

That said, 34 convictions is only the first half of the punchline. The next big laugh comes in November, when red fascist beats blue fascist anyway and the big 8-year Mayan calendar at the DNC rolls over to 2016 again.

Also, not to sound self-absorbed, but when Biden loses liberals will 1000% blame the left again. I only say so because I've been making an effort to be more public in my predictions, on account of being right so often.
