As long as she strengthens the FCC, FTC, and deals with the rot in SCOTUS, we'll be in good shape to deal with AI.

If by deal with ai that results in whoever made it being responsible for it then that kills foss ai. The ai dangerous rhetoric is mostly bs to use the law to stop free software.

The person responsible is the one receiving money from it. I don't care who makes it, but if you're profiting from something, it's your responsibility to vet its safety.

I assume Harris would keep Lina Khan at the FTC so she can keep kicking ass there.

For sure, but I more meant that she would hopefully work to literally strengthen their powers, since SCOTUS effectively neutered federal agencies' ability to interpret the law.

The tech bros very much need to be reigned in, but I understand a nuanced approach is necessary because it's an area where the US is still somewhat competitive, and millions of jobs are on the line.

As for Lina Khan, I hope Kamala Harris, if elected, will give her full support on Khan's investigation into PBMs. Pharmacy Benefits Managers are one of the primary reasons prescription drugs are outrageously expensive. And up until recently, most Americans didn't even know they exist.

Both Big Tech and Big Pharma need much stronger regulations and oversight by the feds.

Lina Khan rocks. Give that woman more resources, she's doing wonders with what she's got.
