Another first amendment violation!

[–] radix@lemmy.world 111 points 2 months ago (1 children)

"It's been 0 days since this administration violated someone's rights."

The "0" is just written in ink. It has not changed, and never will.

[–] eddie@feddit.online 18 points 2 months ago

more like written in blood

[–] Soulphite@reddthat.com 22 points 2 months ago (1 children)

They know, and they don't care and furthermore they ask you the people "what are you gonna do about it?"

This regime is just WAITING for citizens to step up. They are itching to initiate martial law and the insurrection act now more than ever.

[–] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

Trump is a deep cover leftist. He's trying to get people and the system as a whole to stand up and tighten the system and show why right wing policies and authoritarian policies are bad. But no one is stepping up!

I really want to start planting this idea in conservative spaces.

This is a lot more serious than the headline...

Photographs from the briefings are immediately released online for the public and press to use. If that hurts the business model for certain news outlets, then they should consider applying for a Pentagon press credential,” Wilson wrote.

Last year, the Pentagon implemented a new rule for media that required credentialed outlets to agree to a new policy that states reporters cannot gather or publish information from the Defense Department that is not explicitly authorized.

That includes declassified information or off-the-record conversations, no matter where the information was obtained.

Many mainstream media outlets refused to sign the agreement, finding the new rules oppressive. As a result, major broadcasters such as Fox News, ABC News, CBS News, CNN and NBC News; legacy newspapers such as the Associated Press, New York Times, Washington Post and Wall Street Journal; and other outlets lost their Pentagon press credentials.

And yet they'll keep shouting Free Speech unironically.

The problem with taking good photos of Pete Hegseth is that, no matter what, it's still a photo of Pete Hegseth.

I'm guessing it's a tattoo. A tattoo of a bra

[–] arcterus@piefed.blahaj.zone 11 points 2 months ago (1 children)

This was my first thought lol. Like, there are flattering photos of Hegseth? At best he looks smarmy.

[–] BillyClark@piefed.social 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Yeah, his personality comes through.

[–] eddie@feddit.online 5 points 2 months ago

hate when that happens

[–] Bronzebeard@lemmy.zip 66 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Now they'll have no choice but to reuse all the unflattering photos they already took.

5D chess...

[–] Imgonnatrythis@sh.itjust.works 15 points 2 months ago

[–] jdr@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 months ago

featuring the French words “Deus Vult”

[–] sundray@lemmus.org 45 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Sober up, Pete. Catch a shower and maybe change the oil in your hair.

[–] jdr@lemmy.ml 36 points 2 months ago
[–] kurmudgeon@lemmy.world 36 points 2 months ago (1 children)

What a collosal pussy. All armed service members should be absolutely ashamed to be following such a shallow, childish, vain, poor excuse of a man. You would sacrifice your life on the whims of this douchebag?

[–] FordBeeblebrox@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

I feel ashamed about signing up 20 years ago, and every one of us who’ve done so should be sighting in rifle sights again.

[–] Quacksalber@sh.itjust.works 32 points 2 months ago

The vanity fair photos are still the best worst photos of the current admin.

[–] HenriVolney@sh.itjust.works 28 points 2 months ago

Next up, Hegseth's mother makes a scene and calls the principal because some mean journalist did their job

There is always a bigger cunt. They invented the male camel toe.

[–] CompostMaterial@lemmy.world 27 points 2 months ago (2 children)

That is not a question you should ask with this administration, because the answer is always yes.

[–] huppakee@piefed.social 11 points 2 months ago

Cunts all the way down.

[–] Triumph@fedia.io 9 points 2 months ago

This is referred to as Escher's Cunt.

[–] alpha1beta@piefed.social 16 points 2 months ago (1 children)

he should be thrilled they took pictures of his, standing, clothed and not face first in a puddle of his own piss, spilled booze and vomit.

[–] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

It probably is just a matter of time before he gets the Jenna Bush treatment.

Is this the "warrior ethos"? Lmao

[–] PalmTreeIsBestTree@lemmy.world 12 points 2 months ago

This is what peak male performance looks like

[–] Jumbie@lemmy.zip 12 points 2 months ago

Easy.

Just use the existing pictures he hates from now on and take no more.

[–] DeuxChevaux@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

You can put lipstick on a pig. However, in the end it's still lipstick.
